PHP 4, PHP 5 and PHP 7 Support in Hosting
With our Linux hosting, you’ll be able to pick which version of PHP will be active for your web hosting account, as several versions are supported on our servers. With only one click, you’ll be able to switch between PHP 4, 5, 7 and every time a new version is launched in the future, we’ll add it to the Hepsia hosting Control Panel without removing the older versions. In this way, you will be able to host all the sites that you’ve built over the years. Unlike many other web hosting suppliers, we will not compel you to update such sites, because a script may be outdated, but this doesn’t automatically mean that it’s insecure as you may have implemented modifications to its source code to repair security loopholes. For your convenience’s sake, you’ll even be able to pick a different PHP version for each individual site that you host in your shared account.
PHP 4, PHP 5 and PHP 7 Support in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Even if your sites were created with an older version of PHP, you will be able to host them in a semi-dedicated server account from us, since we support several versions running simultaneously on our semi-dedicated servers and each one of them can be enabled for your account with just a click of the mouse through our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel. Other than the most recent PHP 7, we also support 5.3, 5.2 and the older PHP 4, which has already been abandoned by the vast majority of hosting suppliers, but we are strongly convinced that you shouldn’t be forced to modify a website that took years to set up, since older scripting language syntax does not necessarily equal safety holes. On the contrary, a properly maintained site using PHP 4 can be more reliable than an incompetently maintained one using PHP 5. For your convenience, we will also provide you with the possibility to set a different version of PHP for each individual website within your account.
